The 23rd edition of the International Festival La Sfera Danza presents in Padua a program of contemporary dance with national premieres and new productions. Nationally and internationally renowned artists and companies perform at the Teatro Verdi from September 19 to November 22, 2026. The festival, a reference point for dance lovers, offers performances ranging from classical to contemporary dance, meetings with choreographers and moments of in-depth study. The Museum of Medieval and Modern Art in Padua lends the work "La predica di San Paolo" by Jacopo Bassano to the Paulusmuseum in Münster (Germany) for the exhibition "Vado, ma dove?". The exhibition, which will be held from August 26, 2026 to May 30, 2027, explores the theme of the journey and mission of Saint Paul through masterpieces of art.

Festa di quartiere

The Festa di quartiere returns to Padua from 4 to 13 September 2026, with evening events on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th and 13th. Every evening from 7 pm, the hot food counter with fried fish, the bar, the sandwich shop, the charity raffle and the second-hand market open. The programme mixes live music, dance and moments for children. Highlights include the evening with the Old Generation Band (classics from the 60s-90s), the Latin American dance show and the appointment with the Mortise Street Band. Community initiatives are not lacking: the Domenica della Salute with Cuamm, Red Cross and Ambulatorio di Prossimità, and the Festa delle Associazioni, part of the project 'Un quartiere a ritmo di cultura' sponsored by the Municipality of Padua.

Sagra di Mandria

The Sagra di Mandria is the traditional festival of the parishes of Don Bosco, Mandria and Voltabrusegana, organized in honor of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. It takes place in September at Via Armistizio 279 in Padua, with two weekends of food stalls, music and attractions. The first weekend (September 4-6) is dedicated to meat, while the second (September 11-13) to fish. Every evening, stalls open with typical dishes, bars, stalls and rides for children. The evening program includes live music, group dances, performances and themed evenings, all with free admission.

Mostra 'Sul futuro del corpo'

The exhibition 'Sul futuro del corpo' offers a reflection on the theme of the body in an era of homogenization and distance from lived experience. Through painting and sculpture, national and international artists show how the body has returned to the center of artistic research as a critical place to read the cultural and social transformations of the present. Exhibiting, among others, Radu Belcin, Enrica Berselli, Chiara Calore, Flavia Pitis, Stefano Reolon, Markus Schinvald, Chandra Fanti, Maurizio L'Altrella, Nunzio Paci, Julio Larraz, Angelo Giordano and Greta Bisandola.
