Il Grande Teatro - 40ª edizione

Returning for its 40th edition, Il Grande Teatro is the historic winter festival born in 1986 that has become a national benchmark for the quality of its theatrical offerings. Organized by the Municipality of Verona together with the Teatro Stabile di Verona, the event confirms the formula that pairs the great classics of tradition with contemporary dramaturgy. The 2026/2027 season features eight performances at the Teatro Nuovo from October to March. Among the titles on the program are Il Berretto a Sonagli, Riccardo III, Madre Courage, and La guerra com’è, with prominent performers from the national scene.

The program includes summer evening openings on Fridays and Saturdays and daytime openings on weekends in autumn, offering a calendar designed to involve the entire community.
