50th Marcia delle Castagne and 11th Maratona Straberica
- Race
Piazza Mercato, Castegnero
Organised by Podisti Straberici Castegnero
On Sunday 1 November 2026, Castegnero hosts the 50th Marcia delle Castagne and the 11th Maratona Straberica, starting from Piazza Mercato. The event is organised by Podisti Straberici Castegnero and offers five routes of 6, 10, 20, 30 and 42 kilometres, from a short walk to a full marathon. The routes cross the Colli Berici during the chestnut harvesting season. The shorter distances are also suitable for those who walk without specific training, while the 42 km remains the most demanding challenge of the day. For the march, this is the fiftieth edition, a milestone that makes it one of the historic running events in the area.
Routes: 6, 10, 20, 30 and 42 km. Start: Piazza Mercato, Castegnero (VI). No transit and no parking with forced removal in Piazza Mercato on 1 November 2026 from 6:00 to 17:00. Signage is managed by the organisers.
