Festival delle Idee 2026
Teatro Toniolo, Piazza Ferretto e altre sedi, Mestre
The eighth edition of the Festival delle Idee, promoted by the Veneto Region and the Municipality of Venice, takes place in Mestre from September 16 to October 30, 2026. This year's theme is "Desire or Duty", a common thread for a widespread calendar of meetings, speeches, and conversations. Among the nationally renowned guests taking the stage are Pablo Trincia, Paolo Nori, Daria Bignardi, Francesco Costa, Stefano Nazzi, Stefania Andreoli, Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, Guidalberto Bormolini, Osvaldo Poli, Vincenzo Schettini, Paolo Ruffini, and Navid Tarazi. Each event is accompanied by a book sale stand. The event enlivens various spaces in the city: the Teatro Toniolo is the main venue, but some events are also held in Piazza Ferretto and other locations. The full program is constantly updated on the official website.
